Creating Ritual - Doorway to the Divine

Monday, May 28th at 8:00pm-10:00pm

A ritual or ceremony, done with intention, care and love is powerful, magical and evocative. People have been celebrating their passage in life with ritual for as long as we can possibly remember. In our desire to honor ourselves, mark important moments in our lives and feel connected to the divine we create a special, sacred space and time. Ritual is used to open up a hollow space within us, an invitation to dive in and embrace our own divinity. The direction a ceremony should take you is always in. It is a door into a deeper sense of connection, a depth of communion with your most inner core.

Join us in this two-hour workshop where you will:

• Enjoy a ritually designed evening.
• Learn about rituals from multitude traditions and spiritual paths.
• Explore the different uses and styles of ritual and ceremony.
• Learn how to set up and hold group ceremonies and sacred space.
• Examine the elements of ritual (setting, items etc.)
• Create a unique and personal ritual of your own to incorporate into your life.

We will be exploring the building of an altar and a ceremonial space, please bring an object with you that holds special meaning and/or power.

From tips and techniques, to deeper philosophical discussions with laughter, fun and guided exercises, dive deep into a world of pleasure and awakening.

About Your Hosts

Christina Berkley
As founder of A Beautiful Place for Beautiful Women and co-founder of The Lighthouse, Christina offers personal and couples coaching, workshops and one-of-a-kind designed day-long transformative experiences for her clients. She helps her clients create the change they want to have in their lives. Using sexuality as an important lens in her work, she believes that it is the fuel that once lit, is a strong and magnetic force as one’s power emerges. Her studies and her own personal exploration took her from a BSc in microbiology and immunology at McGill University to post-graduate interests in psychology, sexuality, trance, hypnosis and shamanic practices. Her exploration led her to OneTaste where she studied the connection between a healthy, genuine sexuality and the unlocking of personal potential. After 5 years of study with them and the Coaches Training Institute, she found her voice and became the director of OneTaste's New York branch, coaching and leading workshops specializing in sexuality as it relates to intimacy, communication and relationships. During her time there she realized her natural proclivity to working with women and founded A Beautiful Place for Beautiful Women (youarebeautiful.us). Her interests continue to expand as she is now exploring the incredible human phenomena of hypnosis and naturally occurring trance states and the transformative powers these experiences have in our lives.

Ran Baron
Ran Baron is a spiritual seeker and public speaker in the fields of theology, eastern philosophy, and mysticism. Having ventured through various spiritual paths himself, Baron was ordained as a Hindu priest (Brahmana), certified as a Yoga and Tai Chi instructor, and has been studying and practicing Buddhism, Zen, Hinduism and Yoga in many of its different flavors since the age of 14. Baron has instructed numerous meditation workshops and yoga retreats and has given hundreds of talks and lectures about the nature of spirituality and self inquiry. He continues to share his unique view and vast experience in his talks.
